BTS's March 12, 2022, "Permission To Dance on Stage - Seoul: Live Viewing" breaks the global live cinema event record, grossing $32.6 million from 3,711 venues across 75 countries. Furthermore, it ranked third this weekend at the box office in North America, grossing $6.84 million across 803 venues. This averages to $8,500 per venue, which also makes it the weekend’s second-best theater average.

HYBE 360 president DJ Kim said, β€œAs the pandemic made it difficult to access the concert venue, we wanted to create an opportunity for fans to gather and watch the concert together. We came up with the idea of β€˜live-viewing’ at cinemas and are delighted to offer an alternative experience for fans to enjoy the concert live.”

Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing added, β€œIt’s a testament to both the overwhelmingly dedicated fandom of the ARMY and the overall return to cinemas on a global scale.”
