BTS released Map of the Soul: 7 on February 21, 2020, and it topped the U.S. charts in sales during its first week. First week sales for Map of the Soul: 7 totaled 410,691 sold, which beat out other artists such as Eminem, who held the biggest debut of 2020 in January by selling 279,000 records.
