BTS are public art patrons with the launch of their global art project.

According to the ‘Connect, BTS’ website, this project connects 5 cities and 22 contemporary artists with the aim “to redefine the relationships between art and music, the material and immaterial, artists and their audiences, artists and artists, theory and practice.

A collective curatorial practice by curators around the world who resonated with BTS’s philosophy.”

This project will run from January through March 2020, beginning in London (January 14) with the launch of “Carthasis” by Jakob Kudsk Steensen at the Serpentine Galleries. The final show will launch in New York on February 5.

"London, Berlin, New York, Buenos Aires, and Seoul. The ultimate goal of the project is to connect individuals across the world as they reevaluate their present circumstances, attitudes, and potentialities. By allying themselves with contemporary artists, BTS is creating the opportunity for a fruitful and democratic cross-pollination between the worlds of rarefied visual art and pop music, thereby promoting more innovative and effective approaches to social justice and well-being."
