BTS Military Service
Announcement
On October 17, 2022 KST, BIGHIT announced that BTS will move forward with their plans to fulfill their military service.
"Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of Oct...Other members [...] plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans. The BTS members and BIGHIT look forward to "reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment.β - BIGHIT MUSIC

RM
UPDATE: On December 10, 2023 KST, RM posted a message on his Instagram with thoughts for the future. He reported for basic training on December 11, 2023 KST along with V. They are the fourth and fifth members of BTS to begin their military service.
On December 4, 2023 KST, BIGHIT announced that RM will fulfill his required time in the military by enlisting in the Army. There are no official events planned for his recruitment entrance day which is reserved primarily for military members and their families only. RM also hosted a group live session on Weverse with Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.

UPDATE: On December 11, 2022 KST, Jin shared a selfie with fans on Weverse of his new haircut with the caption, βKekeke. Cuter than I thought.β Jin reported for basic training on December 13, 2022 KST. He is the first member of BTS to begin his military service.
On December 5, 2022 KST, BIGHIT announced that Jin will fulfill his required time in the military. There are no official events planned for his recruitment entrance day which is reserved primarily for military members and their families only.
SUGA

UPDATE: On September 17, 2023 KST BIGHIT announced that SUGA will begin his required military service on September 22, 2023. There will not be any official events on his entrance day. SUGA also hosted his last live session on Weverse the same day showing his latest haircut. He is the third member of BTS to begin his military service.

j-hope

UPDATE: On April 14, 2023 KST, j-hope hosted his last live session on Weverse to say farewell to ARMY before beginning his military service. He posted his new military haircut a few days later on his Instagram as he reported for basic training on April 18, 2023 KST. j-hope is the second member of BTS to begin his military service.

On March 31, 2023 KST, BIGHIT announced that j-hope will fulfill his required military service by enlisting in the Army. There will be no official event on the day of his entry which is reserved primarily for military members and their families only.
Jimin

UPDATE: On December 11, 2023, Jung Kook hosted his last live session on Weverse expressing his thoughts on enlistment and to say goodbye to fans. He reported for basic training on December 12, 2023 KST along with Jimin. They are the final members of BTS to begin their military service.
