Indonesia Financial Star Campaign
On December 28, 2020, KB Kookmin Bank released a promotional video starring BTS promoting their “Indonesia Financial Star” campaign. The campaign was developed to help with the rebranding of the Indonesian bank, Bukopin, following their merger with Kookmin Bank.
The promotional video starring BTS was the first Kookmin Bank commercial released in Indonesia and included the band’s hit song, ‘Dynamite,’ as the background music.

Liiv
On January 1, 2019, KB Kookmin Bank released an ad featuring BTS for their online digital financial service ‘Life-styling, integrated, interesting, and valuable (Liiv).’
Originally launched in 2016, Liiv, is a mobile financial platform or application comprised of a calendar, personal ledger, travel card, and banking service designed to allow users to manage their financial needs online.

BTS Savings Account & Check Card
On June 21, 2018, KB Kookmin Bank launched their KB X BTS Savings Account and Check Card.
The BTS Savings Account was a one-year free account that generated over 180,000 account openings and sold more than 120,000 units through October 16, 2018 resulting in a total of 67.5 billion won.
Kookmin Bank also offered a special account known as ‘Happy BTSday’ where customers were given a prime rate of 0.1 percentage point for making a deposit on the band’s debut date or on the birthdays of any of the members. Customers who signed up for the savings account received monthly messages from the band which were available through the bank’s mobile app.
The BTS Check Card gave customers 0.2 percent cash back when they used the card at domestic franchise stores. The check cards also came with photos of the BTS members on them.

Initial Announcement
On March 5, 2018, BTS was announced as the new face of KB Kookmin Bank to promote the company’s online digital financial service platform known as ‘Liiv.’ KB Kookmin Bank is subsidiary of KB Financial Group, Korea’s leading financial services provider.
The contract between the two groups came to an end on August 25, 2021.
